Six civilians were killed and at least nine wounded in an armed attack on a football stadium in Kirkuk province north of Baghdad.

The security cell issued a statement yesterday, announcing that the attack included rocket-propelled grenades and medium weapons. She added that «the criminal action targeted a football stadium in the district of Daquq Kirkuk».

No one claimed responsibility for the attack, while authorities blamed ISIS gangs for the attack, the statement said.

Meanwhile, a statement by the Iraqi Popular Mobilization said yesterday that the Iraqi army helicopters bombed a cave of ISIS and killed it in the framework of the fourth operation of the will to pursue the remnants of the organization in the western desert in Anbar province.

The statement said that «the military aircraft destroyed a cave of ISIS and killed by an air strike in the desert of Rutba west of Anbar, and that the forces continue to implement the will of victory, the fourth phase within the axes specified by the operations center».

Meanwhile, three Turkish soldiers were killed and seven others were wounded in armed clashes with PKK members in northern Iraq.

A statement issued by the Turkish Ministry of Defense, that the clashes came within the framework of the so-called "claw 3" military launched in the region of "Sinat-Htanan" in northern Iraq.
