A car bomb exploded Monday at the entrance of the vast French military base of Gao, in the north-east of Mali, making three French and Estonian wounded, announced the spokesman of the French General Staff of the armies, Colonel Frederic Barbry.
"There was an attack by a VBIED (vehicle bomb) at 3:45 pm at the entrance to the French part of the Gao camp", shared between the French anti-jihadist force Barkhane, the UN peacekeeping force ( Minusma) and the Malian armed forces (FAMa), he said, referring to "three French soldiers and Estonians wounded", whose vital prognosis is not engaged.
