The police used pepper gas and batons against small groups of protestors, who responded with jets of umbrellas, bottles and various projectiles. She pushed young people into a luxury shopping center where there were still many customers, which resulted in scenes of chaos and chase.

The political crisis that has lasted for weeks in the former British colony back in 1997 in the lap of China was further aggravated on Sunday with battles rival battles between riot police and protesters in this mall filled with luxury brands.

Support despite everything

A local Sha Tin elected was very shocked by what had happened. There was no vandalism, but the police resorted to violence despite everything.

The police, who often seemed overwhelmed during these events, arrested 30 people. The clashes resulted in 10 injuries among police and 22 among protesters, including two who are in critical condition, according to local press.
