The Foreign Ministry called on all parties in Sudan to resolve internal political conflicts in the country by peaceful democratic means through extensive national dialogue.
The Office noted that it welcomes the statement of the head of the Transitional Military Council of Sudan Abdel Fattah al-Burkhan on the establishment of a transitional government and the holding of elections in Sudan.
The ministry believes that these steps form the necessary conditions for a reliable stabilization of the situation. The commentary also states that Moscow believes that the settlement of internal problems in Sudan is the exclusive business of the Sudanese themselves.
“External pressure, ultimatums, and even more intervention, are unacceptable, fraught with an aggravation of confrontation,” the Foreign Ministry said.
Earlier, the head of the Sudanese Military Council announced a general election.
