Zimbabwean first lady Grace Mugabe is expected to lose all her property after failing to pay legal fees of $ 278,000 to a law firm in Harare.

The Manas and Manasse Legal Foundation, which represented Grace and her son Russell in several court cases involving a $ 1.2 million deal, issued a Supreme Court order on January 15 authorizing her to acquire property belonging to her client to settle these benefits. According to the plaintiff's announcement, "Ms. Mugabe Russell contacted the firm's lawyers in December 2016 to seek legal services in connection with a number of cases related to a diamond ring, as well as legal representation in another case. The legal services provided included attorney's handling of all litigation proceedings, Hearings, the drafting of court processes, consultations, round tables and the preparation of various legal documents. These services were provided for two years. The plaintiff has fulfilled his obligations by providing such legal services at the level of professionalism envisaged in the Code of Legal Practitioners (Chapter 27.07) and the Internal Law of the Zimbabwean Society, "the declaration states, but so far the defendants have not paid the plaintiff's fees for the services provided in the above cases.

On the other hand, Mugabe's son emphatically criticized the president, Emerson Mengagua, claiming he lacked common sense, saying he needed to appoint a minister of reason and wisdom because he was doing things that did not make sense. He criticized his foreign trips on a luxury plane to get debt saved by the country. He said he should not beg for a luxury seven-star plane costing $ 74,000 an hour. He also attacked him for buying the latest Mercedes Benz, while begging for help from other countries.
