Islamic thinker Tariq Ramadan on Tuesday again faces the second woman to file a complaint against him for rape, and hopes to be released after the interview.

The media reported that the woman was christel and accused Ramadan of raping her at a hotel in southern France in 2009.

"My client insists on her position, especially since she falsely accused her of delaying the July confrontation without any logical reason," Christel's lawyer Eric Moran said.

Ramadan, who has been in France for seven months on rape charges, admitted that he met the prosecutor for about half an hour in the hotel lobby on October 10, 2009, while confirming that she was violently raped on the ninth of the same month. She was left in shock in his room .

After the confrontation was scheduled to take place last July, the date was postponed due to the complainant's health status, as confirmed by a medical examination requested by the defense.

On February 2, the French judiciary charged Ramadhan with another rape charge against the woman of the former Salafist who became a secular activist at a Paris hotel in 2012.

On July 19, the first confrontation between Ramadan and Aiyari, which filed a complaint last fall, formed the basis for the case, but her testimony lost much of her credibility because of the discrepancy in the location and time of the facts she recounted.

Last Sunday, Justice Ministry spokesman Henri De La Casa said the prosecution had decided to open a formal criminal investigation following a complaint by a woman accused of raping her at a Geneva hotel in 2008.

After Tuesday's clash, the defense team plans to make a third request for his client's release.

The French judiciary rejected requests for the release of Ramadhan, 56, who is suffering from sclerosis, and is being held at the Paris prison hospital south of Paris.
