Egyptian Attorney General Nabil Ahmed Sadiq issued a decision to refer the letter submitted by the lawyer of artist Rania Youssef, Shaaban Said, against the falsely propagated porn video, to the Central Cairo Prosecution for investigation.

Earlier this week, lawyer Shaaban Saeed filed a complaint with the Attorney General asking for the arrest and investigation of a pornographic video promoter falsely attributed to his client, who was surprised by the spread of a fake porn video with a famous director on social networking sites.

The video shows an anonymous person asserting that Rania Youssef is the one who appears in the video and casts her scold and stabs her presentation.

The artist's lawyer said she was being subjected to a systematic campaign of defamation, calling for the rapid arrest of false video promoters.

Earlier this week, Rania Yussef's media office announced that "any site, newspaper or pages on social media sites that are directly or indirectly harmed by the publication of any news or images to defame them will be prosecuted according to the provisions of the law Penalties".
