As the press service of Lukashenko informs, the head of state noted that the Belarusian side carefully monitors the situation “in friendly Venezuela and empathizes with another round of tensions”

“We categorically do not support any external interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state, including aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country,” Lukashenka said.

Belarus, as the President stressed, is fully committed and consistently in favor of a peaceful settlement of the current situation exclusively within the framework of the legal field and the constitution.

He assured that Venezuela can always count on the support of Belarus.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin held a telephone conversation with Maduro, during which he expressed support for the legitimate authorities of Venezuela.

He also called for seeking a solution to the situation within the framework of the law and through peaceful dialogue.

As stated in the Kremlin, the conversation took place on the initiative of the Russian side.
