As the minister pointed out, the United States openly calls for a coup in Venezuela.
“We consider such behavior to be unacceptable, undermining the principles of the UN Charter, the norms of interstate communication, and we will speak from the positions in the Security Council,” he added.
Earlier, Lavrov, commenting on the situation in Venezuela, said that this was a gross interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign state.
As noted by the Russian Foreign Ministry, the Russian side can become a mediator between the authorities and the opposition of Venezuela, if such efforts are in demand.
