This is a scandal that must be stopped. Today Abbé Pierre Foundation asks for an emergency plan to avoid these evictions. So, what is urgently needed is to block at least 100 million euros to double the amount of aid to maintain the FSL (Solidarity Housing Fund) managed by the departments to help people who have unpaid arrears to resorb their debts. An unpaid amount must not always result in an eviction. This is not normal. When you are threatened with deportation, you are not a criminal, so you have to have solutions. Knowing that for the state, for example, housing at the hotel far from the city center, far away from the places where people work, have their schools, their families, it's more expensive than helping people to pay their bills. rents or compensate the lessors.
