The Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, Hossam Zaki, said that the emergency ministerial meeting scheduled to be held next Sunday in the presence of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will be devoted to discuss what is raised about the "Deal of the Century" America.

Zaki - a former Egyptian diplomat - that whenever news reports dealing with this deal is accelerated by the US side to deny and reduce it, pointing out that things are not reassuring in this regard.

"Regardless of what is being raised in the media, the general picture is not reassuring that this proposal (the deal of the century) will be positive, balanced and caring for the Palestinian right," he said.

Jared Kouchner, adviser and brother-in-law of US President Donald Trump, announced last Wednesday that the deal of the century will be announced after the month of Ramadan.

"The peace proposal in the Middle East requires concessions from both the Palestinian and the Israeli sides," Kouchner, the US commissioner in charge of the US Middle East peace plan, was quoted by al-Hurra as saying.

Direct negotiations between the Palestinian and Israeli sides ceased in April 2014 because of Tel Aviv's refusal to halt settlements, the 1967 borders not being accepted as a basis for negotiations, and the refusal to release former detainees.
