The Algerian president announced this Monday, March 11th, by a letter published by the official APS agency that he gave up to seek a fifth mandate and that the presidential election of April 18th was postponed and that it would take place "in the extension of 'a national conference' to reform the political system and draft a Constitution by the end of 2019.
