Thousands of "yellow vests" paraded this Saturday, January 26 throughout France for their act XI. Enamelled demonstrations of violence in several cities.

After the "yellow vests", place the "yellow night". To conclude their act XI, the "yellow vests" decided to watch a part of the night in several cities of France.

In Paris, hundreds of protesters gathered at Place de la République late afternoon, before being dispersed by the CRS shortly before 19h, reports our reporter on the spot, Franck Alexandre .

Everything had started in peace . The "yellow vests" and in particular Eric Drouet's group, one of the most determined of the movement, had called to gather on this place for a first "yellow night", reference to the movement "night standing" which s' was held for several months in this place.

But quiet discussions around sandwiches soon gave way to renewed tensions. "Yellow vests" have come closer to the cordon of the police. A CRS was hit by a projectile jet before being evacuated. The police responded with at least one shot of LBD 40, the much-maligned weapon that fired 40-mm defense bullets.

There followed crowd movements, enamelled with slogans "Everybody hates the police" or "Macron resignation". All access to the square was blocked. Two water cannons were positioned and protesters dispersed.

69,000 protesters in France, according to the Ministry of the Interior

In its latest report published shortly after 19h, the Ministry of the Interior reports 69,000 demonstrators throughout France, including 4,000 in Paris. In comparison, the authorities had counted 84,000 protesters during the last two Saturdays at the end of the day, increasing after the Christmas break and the New Year but without regaining the level of mobilization in early December.

In the capital, two historical figures of the movement today enemies, Eric Drouet and Priscillia Ludosky, had initiated separate marches. The first took place in a procession from the course of Vincennes, the second joined the Paris headquarters of Facebook since the Ministry of Overseas. A third procession left the Champs-Elysées. In these processions, however, the claims remained unanimous, the first of them calling for a citizens' initiative referendum (RIC).

Some incidents have enamelled the processions, including Nantes, Dijon, Evreux, Montpellier or Paris, Place de la Bastille, where a figure known "yellow vests", Jerome Rodrigues, wounded in one eye by a projectile while was in front of the police, was evacuated by the firemen of the heart of the place, then hospitalized.

The police prefecture announced on its Twitter account to have seized the General Inspectorate of the National Police (IGPN).

#Paris: injured taken in chage place of #Bastille. The Prefect of Police, in agreement with the Minister of the Interior @CCastaner and the Secretary of State @NunezLaurent, seized the IGPN, so that the circumstances in which this injury occurred be established.
