The Iraqi Ministry of Health warned today of frozen chickens coming from Iran, saying it warns citizens of the dangers of eating it.

The Iranian ministry said in a statement that the Iranian chicken had died mainly from floods and rains in several parts of Iran over the past few days, adding that some Iranian traders were trying to market the dead chickens in Iraq as slaughtered in Iran and then frozen.

Iran has seen a wave of torrential rains that have led to the sinking of many areas, in addition to the sinking of many Iranian poultry fields, amid fears that the introduction of chickens to Iraqi markets, affecting the health of Iraqis.

Last year, the Ministry of Agriculture said poultry was exported to Iraq at about $ 1 billion.
