Ras Al Khaimah Educational District Director Sumaya Harib Al Suwaidi told Emirates Al Youm that more than 460 students from the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, who are of different nationalities, are still at home and unable to attend classes due to their financial family circumstances , And their inability to afford registration fees in private schools.

She added that Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Charitable Foundation launched the "Let us help them" campaign to raise financial donations to help these students and enroll them in private schools to complete their studies this year.

She explained that the institution collected, yesterday, within three hours of opening the door to donate, 450 thousand dirhams.

She added that the campaign is continuing until the end of the year of Zayed. She added that the campaign aims to raise donations from different institutions, institutions and individuals to help families of low income to contribute to the education of their children in private school classes.

She explained that the Foundation oversees four charitable schools belonging to the Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Charitable Educational Foundation and suffers from the density in its classrooms and that it is unable to accommodate an additional number of students in the classrooms. The four schools have 1750 students studying at various levels , In four schools belonging to the Foundation.

She pointed out that all cases registered with the institution are in the category of low income families, whose monthly salary is less than 3000 dirhams, or families with a large number of children and unable to meet their study needs, or families with financial debts, unable to pay Tuition fees for their children.

Al Suwaidi told Emirates Al Youm that the region has raised applications for the names of students residing in Ras Al Khaimah to exempt them from the requirement of excellence in continuity in public schools, which meet the requirements. The Ministry of Education set up a committee to exclude resident students from the decision of the condition of excellence for continuity in public schools, which was implemented at the beginning of the current school year, and stipulated that the residence in remote areas and away from private schools or the absence of any private schools near their area, Exceeding the requirement of excellence in some materials, in which the rate must be higher than 85%.
