The Center for International Protection of the General Directorate for Drug Control in Dubai Police conducted a dialogue session organized by the Department of Community Programs of the Center for International Protection entitled "The vision of university students on the problem of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances and their coping mechanisms" in the presence of 100 students representing 10 universities and colleges in the country.

The session discussed the problems and reasons that young people believe to be behind the use of drugs and addiction, the role of university students in the face of drugs and their negative effects on society, the expected roles of them, how to develop student roles and the mechanism to benefit from them, and the best means that can benefit society in the prevention of drugs, And to see and assess students' educational curricula if they are involved in awareness of drug damage.

The director of the center, Colonel Abdullah Hassan Matar Alkhayat, said that «university students count on them to help us transfer preventive knowledge about the damage of drugs of various kinds to their peers and colleagues».

Colonel Al-Khayyat pointed out that the security agencies spread the culture of security and prevention to all segments of society, stressing the importance of concerted efforts, including the efforts of the students themselves to expand the knowledge area for everyone to prevent narcotic toxins, noting that the General Directorate of Drug Control in Dubai Police organized meetings, workshops and forums Courses and lectures in order to disseminate knowledge and clarify the consequences of abuse and its negative impact on the abusers and on the surrounding environment.
