Asahi Breweries has announced that it will voluntarily recall more than 10,000 bottles of imported wine shipped to restaurants and supermarkets nationwide.

It is possible that the mouth part of the bottle was chipped and that debris was mixed into the wine.

The voluntary recall is about 10,500 bottles of 375 ml of red wine and white wine, including 375 ml of red wine and white wine, such as `` Burgundy Pinot Noir 2021 '' produced by French company `` Louis Latour '' and imported by Asahi Breweries. .

Asahi Breweries shipped to restaurants and supermarkets nationwide from July to the end of January last year.

According to the company, after receiving an inquiry from a restaurant on January 20, it was confirmed that the mouth part of some bottles was missing, and that fragments may have been mixed with the wine. Therefore, we have decided to voluntarily recall.

As for the cause, the company explains that there was a defect in the machine during the manufacturing process at the factory, and that there was an oversight during the inspection work when the product was imported.

So far, there have been no reports of injuries or health problems.

Asahi Breweries commented, "We sincerely apologize for causing concern and inconvenience to our customers. We will strive to further strengthen our quality control system in the future."
