The legal dispute between the polyclinic of Limoges (Haute-Vienne) and the City concerning the Colombier clinic has just experienced a new development.

The expropriation chamber of the Bordeaux Court of Appeal (Gironde) has indeed estimated the price of the site abandoned for eight years at 2 million euros, reports France 3 Nouvelle Aquitaine.

It was also the amount assessed by the polyclinic, owner of the premises.

The disagreement, which has lasted for five years, comes from the sum of 500,000 euros that the municipality intended to pay to acquire the Colombier clinic by exercising its right of preemption.

The figure was determined by the courts in 2018.

The objective of the municipality was to avoid a project to transform the building into a store.

After the latter was dropped, other promoters submitted proposals.

One of them even obtained a building permit issued by the town hall to create housing on the site.

The decision of the expropriation chamber could put an end to the planned takeover of the Colombier clinic by the City.
