A strange attack on the Mona Lisa... See what happened to her!

A visitor to the Louvre Museum in the French capital, Paris, threw a piece of cake at the world-famous Mona Lisa, which is displayed behind a protective glass.

A museum spokeswoman told dpa today, Monday, that the painting by Leonardo da Vinci was not damaged inside its glass window during the attack, which occurred on Sunday.

Museum supervisors immediately arrested the man, took him out of the exhibition hall, and police arrested him.

The 24-year-old, from a suburb of Paris, was taken to a mental hospital to assess whether his detention would be extended.

It was reported that he had "budgeonly confusion".

The museum filed a complaint about this incident.

Maybe this is just nuts to me💀but an man dressed as an old lady jumps out of a wheel chair and attempted to smash the bullet proof glass of the Mona Lisa.

Then proceeds to smear cake on the glass, and throws roses everywhere all before being tackled by security.

😂???
