The "NHK National Tanka Tournament" was held in Tokyo to introduce excellent works submitted by tanka lovers nationwide.

The tournament, which was the first in two years due to the influence of the new coronavirus, was held at a venue in Tokyo by NHK and NHK Gakuen, and about 17,700 heads were gathered and three tanka songs were selected for the grand prize.

The work of Keiko Kimura (81) from Yamaguchi Prefecture, "The blue day in the sky is so daunting that I become a great-grandmother for the first time in my life" is the feeling when the author who came to be called "Hi Grandma" looked up at the sky. The poem and lively power were evaluated.

Yuko Shibuya (68) from Miyagi Prefecture, "The place where you breathe out with a gap between the lines, maybe the other person is breathing" is when the author who likes to write letters and postcards finally writes the main subject. The work was created when I imagined a moment, and was evaluated as having an attractive original content and rhythm.

Haruko Fujino (54) from Kyoto Prefecture's work, "Old Mother Draws Black Tangerines in Day Care" is a slogan of her mother's willingness to live when she paints oranges in black with a pencil. It was evaluated that you can feel the match.



The tournament will be broadcast on E-tele from 2:30 pm on the 24th of next month.
