This afternoon, Xi'an held a press conference on the prevention and control of the new crown pneumonia epidemic.
It was introduced at the meeting that from 0:00 to 24:00 on December 25, Xi'an reported 155 local confirmed cases.
Among these 155 cases, 77 new cases were added at 0-24 o'clock on the 25th, and the other 78 cases were those who were found to be diagnosed with positive initial tests during recent nucleic acid screening.
Of the 155 newly confirmed cases, 92 were found in isolation and control, 56 were found in nucleic acid screening, and 7 were diagnosed through active medical treatment.
Through the epidemiological investigation of the cases, the closed and sub-closed connections that have been identified have been isolated and controlled in accordance with relevant requirements.
From 0:00 on December 9th to 24:00 on December 25th, Xi'an City reported a total of 485 local confirmed cases.
According to the survey, the recent new cases are mainly concentrated in Chang'an University, Sijihui Restaurant, Changfengyuan Community, Huicheng Cullinan Tower C, Optoelectronics Industrial Park, Tianyou Children's Hospital, Zijun Chang'an, Yuchan Street, Huyi District, Long City Mingyuan and other points.
Since Xi'an upgraded prevention and control measures on December 23, 2021, the number of confirmed cases reported for three consecutive days were 49, 75, and 155, and most of them were infected before the upgrade of prevention and control measures.
Through the three rounds of large-scale nucleic acid screening since December 21, most concealed cases and community-infected people can be quickly detected, which is conducive to early detection, early isolation, and early interruption, and minimizes the possibility of transmission. It is also the dual effect of Xi'an’s lockdown and large-scale screening. Nucleic acid screening in the next few days may have a large number of reported cases. Please don’t panic.
