On Monday, June 28, a heavy downpour hit Moscow and the Moscow region.

As the chief specialist of the Moscow meteorological office, Tatyana Pozdnyakova, told RT, a period of hot weather ended in the metropolitan region, which lasted for more than a week in the city.

“Today, let's say, is the last hot day for Moscow.

In the west of the Moscow region, the temperature has already dropped, now the capital region after 15:00 will be in the zone of a rather active cold front, in which we expect thunderstorms, showers, hail is possible in some places, wind gusts can reach 23 m / s.

That is, the weather can be dangerous.

The influence of this front will remain the next night, ”Pozdnyakova said.

According to her, after that, the intensity of the rains will subside, and the air temperature will decrease.

“The daytime temperature tomorrow is +23 ... + 25 ° С, in the region +20 ... + 25 ° С.

During the day, gusty winds of up to 12-15 m / s will remain in places.

On Wednesday and Thursday also unstable weather with intermittent rains, thunderstorms are not excluded.

The night temperature will already drop, in Moscow +15 ... + 17 ° С, in the region +12 ... + 17 ° С.

Daytime temperature in the city is +22 ... + 24 ° С.

Wind on Wednesday and Thursday is northwest, quite dense, 5-10 m / s.

On Saturday, we expect the weather to be dry.

The air temperature in Moscow is +12 ... + 17 ° С at night and +21 ... + 26 ° С is the daytime temperature, ”the meteorologist explained.

She added that the air temperature will gradually return to almost the climatic norm: "This means that we will not have a heat wave and no temperature records are expected in the next five days."

In turn, Marina Makarova, a specialist at the Hydrometeorological Center, noted that on June 28, Moscow was in the center of a weather wave, which brought in showers, thunderstorms with hail, and a squally increase of wind up to 18-23 m / s.

“Today, in the afternoon, a wave is passing through us ... It will rain of varying intensity throughout the week.

The temperature background has dropped, we already have a drop in temperature with a thunderstorm.

In the morning, up to +30 ° С, the air probably warmed up.

Tomorrow +23 ... + 25 ° С in Moscow.

On Wednesday and Thursday - +20 ... + 22 ° С, then, on Friday and Saturday, the temperature is +22 ... + 27 ° С.

More comfortable temperature.

But all the same, in some places short-term rains with thunderstorms will go, "the interlocutor of RT stated.

Earlier, the leading expert of the Phobos weather center, Evgeny Tishkovets, in a conversation with RIA Novosti, pointed out that the "super shower" will bring to Moscow up to 70% of the monthly precipitation rate: "The most dangerous period is the evening hours from 15:00 to 21:00."

The Moscow municipal economy complex confirmed that in some districts of the capital, up to 70% of the monthly precipitation rate has already fallen.

In turn, a senior researcher at the Institute of Atmospheric Physics.

Alexander Chernokulsky stressed that "super shower" after abnormal heat is a normal natural phenomenon.

“More often than not, intense heat in our temperate latitudes subsides along with heavy rainfall.

The cold front “breaks through” the heat, and it is associated just with such dangerous weather phenomena as heavy rain, hail and squall, ”he said on the air of Sputnik radio.

In addition, the Main Directorate of the Russian Emergencies Ministry in Moscow issued an emergency warning for the townspeople in connection with the fact that at the end of June 28 in certain districts of the capital "heavy downpour, very heavy rain, thunderstorm, hail, squally increase of wind up to 23 m / s is expected."

In addition, motorists were advised to significantly slow down, avoid sudden maneuvers, and park the car away from trees.

The press service of the Department of Transport and the Development of Road Transport Infrastructure in Moscow stressed that in the capital "flooding of the roadway and paths" was formed, which disrupted the work of public transport.

“City services are working to quickly eliminate all flooding and failures.

The Situation Center of the DTSD monitors the situation on the roads in real time and sends all the addresses of flooding to the appropriate services, ”the message says.

At the same time, photo and video materials with the consequences of the disaster that hit the Moscow region appeared on social networks.

So, in Fryazino near Moscow, gusts of wind knocked down the signs and destroyed the roof of a shopping center, and in Korolev, due to strong winds, a tree fell on a car, as a result of the incident no one was injured.

In addition, several districts of the Moscow region were left without electricity.

“The Ministry of Energy of Russia has taken on special control the restoration of power supply to consumers in the Moscow region, where on June 28 at 12:52 pm power lines at the Balashikha substation were cut off.

Some of the household consumers of the city of Balashikha, about 15,000 people, remain without electricity.

The capacity of disconnected consumers is 9.8 MW, ”the Ministry of Energy said in a statement.

Electric wires also caught fire at the Savyolovsky railway station, because of flooding, the movement of trains of the Moscow metro stopped at the Teply Stan - Novoyasenevskaya and Bagrationovskaya - Kuntsevskaya sections.

At the same time, an indoor cycle track was flooded in the Krylatskoye area.
