On the evening of June 17, the construction of the single-line to double-line operation between the Liying Station of the Beijing-Xiong Intercity Railway and the Beijing Daxing Station was officially launched.
The project was constructed by China Railway 12th Bureau, with more than 3,000 people participating in the construction.
At present, the Beijing-Xiong Intercity uses single-track dual-directional traffic in this section. After the transformation is completed, full-line dual-line operation will be realized, and the train capacity will be further improved.
The connection methods of the Beijing-Kowloon Line, Beijing-Shanghai Line, and Beijing-Xiong Intercity Railway Lines will also usher in major changes. Huangcun Station will become an important feeder station for the three lines.
