Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and Bavaria have lifted the vaccine prioritization for the AstraZeneca vaccine.

The respective health ministers of the two countries announced on Wednesday that the vaccine is now released for all age groups regardless of the priority of the vaccine candidates.

Saxony had also made this decision beforehand.

The vaccine can therefore be inoculated in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania in the vaccination centers, by mobile teams, in hospitals and by general practitioners.

In Bavaria, AstraZeneca is only vaccinated in general and specialist practices for initial vaccinations. "The doctors know their patients well and know who they can make a vaccination offer with this active ingredient from among the under 60s, taking into account the requirements of the Standing Vaccination Commission, and provide extensive advice on this," explained Bavaria's Minister of Health and Care, Klaus Holetschek ( CSU). "We want to use this special relationship of trust, because every dose of vaccine must be inoculated as quickly as possible."

A termination due to a corona quarantine ordered by the health department is ineffective in the opinion of the Cologne labor court.

The court upheld the complaint of the affected employee of a roofing company, as emerged from a communication on Wednesday.

The chamber found the termination to be “immoral” and “unfaithful”.

The court justified its verdict last Thursday, saying that the employee “merely adhered to the official quarantine order”.
