Manufacturer recalls smoothies sold by Lidl and Netto. Some of these smoothies contain aronia juice, which is contaminated with patulin.

Patulin is a substance (mycotoxin) produced by mold that is harmful to health and can lead to nausea, vomiting and indigestion. On Wednesday, the food company Dr. Oetker Smoothies in a bowl recalled as a precautionary measure due to possible mold toxins. The Bielefeld-based company said the reason was residues of the substance patulin formed by mold.
