FIFA ranking: Morocco and Mali progress thanks to CHAN

The International Football Federation (FIFA) has unveiled the FIFA Ranking for February 2021. An edition during which Morocco, winner of CHAN 2020, and Mali, finalist in this competition, gain places.

Very few changes in the FIFA Ranking for February 2021 compared to January.

The most important event in recent weeks has been the African Nations Championship (CHAN) with a total of 32 matches played,

 ” insists the International Football Federation on its website.

In the standings, Morocco (33rd, +2), winner of CHAN, and Mali (54th, +3), finalist, sign the best progressions.

, and Congo (90th, +1), quarter-finalist, have also progressed

Other teams weighed down by CHAN 2020

Some teams that were mediocre at CHAN 2020 are retreating, however, such as Uganda (83rd, -4), Zimbabwe (112th, 4) and Namibia (121st, -2).

For the rest, few changes.

Senegal, 20th, remains the best placed African nation, ahead of Tunisia (26th) and Algeria (31st).

Nigeria is 36th (-1), Egypt 49th and Cameroon 50th.

Overall, no change in the Top 10 with Belgium 1st ahead of France (2nd), Brazil (3rd), England (4th) and Portugal (5th).
