FIFA accepted Brahim's request to play for Morocco on March 12. The Federation knew, unofficially, that Brahim Díaz was not eligible for Spain since the beginning of this month.

That Brahim was given the green light to the agreement between Morocco and Brahim to unite their destinies was not official until Tuesday of last week. "I choose to play on behalf of the national teams of the Kingdom of Morocco for personal reasons," said Brahim in his letter to FIFA.
