Every day during the Spring Festival travel 30,000 steps are enthusiastic

Post-95 passenger transporters guard passengers' way home

"Beijing West Railway Station is like a small community. The 036 caring waiting room is the neighborhood committee. I am a community worker who serves everyone. You can find me if you have big or small things." Gu Leiming, a post-95 passenger transporter, used this sentence to describe himself This job.

The 26-year-old boy has to deal with the sick and disabled passengers every day, pushing wheelchairs, carrying stretchers, and answering various questions from passengers over and over again. It requires physical effort and patience.

What makes this young man enjoy the seemingly complicated work?

After the Spring Festival travel in 2021, a reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily followed up with Gu Leiming.

At 9:20 a.m. on February 3, there were not many passengers at Beijing West Railway Station. In the 036 waiting room, Gu Leiming, who had been on the night shift, was still full of energy. He came to the newly installed "key help" in the 036 waiting room during the Spring Festival this year. Helping area", helping Brother Zhang and his wife, who have been waiting all night, pack up their things, and prepare to send them off in a wheelchair.

It turned out that passenger Zhang had a myocardial infarction a few days ago and underwent surgery in Tianjin. On February 3rd, they had to take the Z69 train back to Zhangye, Gansu.

In order to save a day’s accommodation fees, they rushed to the West Railway Station from Tianjin on the night of February 2.

"Unexpectedly, there is a bed in the key assistance area of the station. I am very grateful that Lao Zhang can lie down for one night." Zhang's wife took Gu Leiming's hand and said.

Pushing the wheelchair, he descended directly from the straight ladder to the platform. At the door of the No. 8 carriage, Gu Leiming assisted and sent Big Brother Zhang to the sleeping berth.

A reporter from the Beijing Youth Daily noticed that Gu Leiming's seemingly casual chats with passengers along the way actually paved the way for the subsequent services.

After sending the key passengers onto the train, Gu Leiming did not return to the waiting room. He hurriedly walked 8 more cars and found the conductor at the front of the train.

"Car 8, in the lower berth of No. 11, there is a key passenger with limited mobility. Please pay more attention to it. When you arrive in Zhangye, they are picked up by family members. They should need a wheelchair to send them out of the station. Don’t forget to send someone to the station. Thank you. Got.” Gu Leiming explained the situation to the conductor when he learned from the chat on the road.

Because he was walking in a hurry, his head was already sweating. He said that he could walk more than 30,000 steps a day without leaving the station.

There are many posts in the railway station. Why do you come to the most tiring "036"?

Gu Leiming said that he checked the tickets at the entrance of the station during his internship. He always wanted to know how those passengers who were in wheelchairs and lying on stretchers got on the train and how to help them. After he became a regular employee, he asked for "036". Service, now the mystery is solved, and he is deeply in love with the job.

In December 2019, after Gu Leiming entered the "036", he quickly grew from a novice Xiaobai to a business expert. He could recite the departure and arrival time of 103 pairs of high-speed rails, and he could answer passenger inquiries quickly and accurately. Once made him a little proud.

"Later I worked with the masters of 036, and I found out that all the people of the '036' I knew knew." Gu Leiming said, the old 036 passenger not only remembered being as accurate as him, but they could also remember every trip. The car marshalling order of the car is forward marshalling or reverse marshalling. When sending to the station, just look at the passenger's car number to know which elevator to go down the nearest.

This year is the fifth Spring Festival travel service provided by Gu Lei Ming, and it is also the most special one.

His hometown is in Zhangjiakou. Because of the work arrangements for epidemic prevention and control, he can only go home once a month. This year, he can only send his family New Year greetings through video during the Spring Festival.

"It is my greatest joy to be able to guard the way back home for travelers and to watch them return home safely and smoothly and reunite with their families. This may be my original intention for choosing this position." Gu Leiming said.
