The 40-day railway Spring Festival transportation ended on March 5. During the Spring Festival travel season, the country’s railways carried a total of 484 million passengers, a year-on-year increase of 39%.

The average daily number of passenger trains on the national railways increased compared with the same period in 2019. Based on 12,306 passenger ticket pre-sale and waiting list data, transportation capacity has been flexibly increased by adding temporary passenger trains and other methods. The national railways can operate a maximum of 2,256 additional passenger trains in a single day.
