The 40-day railway Spring Festival transportation ended on March 5. During the Spring Festival travel season, the country’s railways carried a total of 484 million passengers, with an average of 12.089 million passengers per day.

The average daily number of passenger trains on the national railways increased compared with the same period in 2019. Based on 12,306 passenger ticket pre-sale and waiting list data, transportation capacity has been flexibly increased. The national railways can operate a maximum of 2,256 additional passenger trains in a single day to meet passenger travel needs.
