Qixia Gold Mine Rescue: Trapped miners are transferred to borehole 4, and it will take at least 15 days for the rescue channel to open

The Beijing News (Reporter Qiao Chi) On January 21, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from the Qixia Hushan Gold Mine accident rescue press conference that the diet of the trapped people is gradually returning to three meals a day, and three meals more even more. Diverse.

In addition, the headquarters also delivered a set of life straw personal filters to each person, which can quickly purify water underground.

The No. 3 borehole, which was previously in contact with the trapped miners, has been replaced by No. 4 borehole due to water permeability.

The trapped personnel have moved from the No. 3 drilling position to the No. 4 drilling position.

Today's nutrient solution and other materials were dropped from borehole 4.

At 5 pm on January 21, the drilling purpose and the progress of drilling operations were displayed at the Qixia Hushan Gold Mine Accident Rescue Press Conference.

The press conference also stated that due to the explosion, the pipelines and communication cables in the well bore were mixed together, causing serious blockage.

The degree of blockage in the wellbore 350 meters from the wellhead exceeded expectations. It is expected that it will take at least 15 days or even longer for the rescue channel to open in the main well.

Ren Wanxing, a professor at the School of Safety Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology, told the Beijing News reporter, “Now that the nutrient solution can be sent in and the ground can communicate with the underground, it is only a matter of time before the trapped people survive.”

The trapped people’s diet gradually returned to three meals a day

As of 11:00 on January 21, the headquarters had put in 33 bottles of nutrient solution, 14 bottles of rice porridge, 15 bottles of iodophor, 50 masks, and 6 bottles of hand sanitizer. At the same time, it released relevant materials to guide underground miners to deal with the remains of victims.

Song Xicheng, deputy head of the medical rescue team of the Emergency Rescue Command and deputy dean of Yantai Yuhuangding Hospital, said at the press conference that at present, the diet of the trapped people is gradually returning to three meals a day.

Food calories have gone from 500 kcal at the beginning to 1000 kcal and 1500 kcal, and today it has reached 2200 kcal for basic physiological activities.

He said, "The eight-treasure porridge, ham sausage, quail eggs, pickles, etc. delivered yesterday, the miners did not feel discomfort after eating. This also reflects that the physical functions of the trapped miners are gradually recovering."

In addition, the headquarters also sent a large amount of hot water and mineral water to the trapped miners, and each person also sent a set of life straw personal filters, which can quickly purify water underground.

There are currently 22 miners trapped. Except for 10 people whose status is unknown, 11 people are in the middle section of 5 and one is in the middle section of 6.

Through percussion, laser pointer projection, loudspeaker shouting, etc., no information has been received from missing persons in the middle section of 6 and other places.

According to Song Xicheng, according to the information from the trapped people, of the 11 trapped miners in the middle of the 5th section, 8 were in stable condition and 2 felt weak.

Ren Wanxing, a professor at the School of Safety Engineering of China University of Mining and Technology, believes that “Now that the nutrient solution can be sent in and the ground can communicate with the underground, it is only a matter of time before the trapped people survive.”

No. 4 borehole replaces No. 3 borehole as a life support channel

On January 20, looking at about 50 meters from the entrance of the mining area, a large amount of white powder spewed up at the head of the well where the drilling rig was drilling, followed by a huge and uninterrupted roar of machinery.

The rescuers explained that the drilling rig drilled the rock into powder under the ground, and then used the wind to extract the rock powder. The powder was covered by the wind on the mountains and trees, and it looked like a white piece from a distance.

At 11 o'clock in the morning on November 20th, the rescuers of No. 7 borehole were working.

This is the No. 7 borehole, which will be used as a drainage channel, located directly in front of the entrance of the mine.

To the right of the entrance to the mining area is the No. 3 borehole that previously contacted the trapped miners and provided supplies.

According to Ma Jixiang, a member of the technical expert group of the Emergency Rescue Command, after drilling through No. 3, a certain amount of water may be introduced into the well, which poses a certain threat to the living environment of the underground personnel.

After research and judgment by the Emergency Rescue Command, it was decided to use borehole 4 as a backup life-support channel.

At 22:30 on January 20th, borehole No. 4 successfully penetrated the middle section of lane 5, replacing borehole No. 3 as a life maintenance monitoring channel.

The trapped personnel have moved from the No. 3 drilling position to the No. 4 drilling position.

Today's nutrient solution and other materials were dropped from borehole 4.

At the same time, the original escape route function of No. 4 drill hole will be replaced by No. 10 drill hole.

The 711 mm borehole No. 10 was drilled on the afternoon of January 20. As of 12:00 on January 21, it had drilled to 18 meters. Construction began after rechecking.

Ren Wanxing said that after the 711 mm borehole is opened, the trapped persons can be lifted up.

However, the large-diameter borehole construction project has a long period and great difficulty, and the progress must be comprehensively determined according to the rock formation and the function of the drilling rig.

It is estimated that it will still take at least

15

days to

open the main well rescue channel

The press conference also stated that the explosion caused serious blockage due to the mixing of pipelines and communication cables in the wellbore. After evaluation and calculation, it is estimated that there is still a serious blockage with a thickness of about 100 meters between 350 meters and 446 meters from the well head. It weighs about 1,300 cubic meters and 70 tons.

The Emergency Rescue Headquarters continued to optimize and adjust the obstacle clearance plan, and tried a variety of operations to speed up the shaft clearance, including testing the use of magnet attractors, adding hydraulic cutting machines, high-pressure water cutting machines, etc.

However, due to the large amount of obstacles, it is estimated that it will take at least 15 days or even longer for the main shaft rescue channel to be opened.

As of 12:00 on January 21, there were 17 professional rescue teams and 1 fire rescue team, with 629 rescuers and 402 rescue equipment.
