Two employees of the Amur Rostekhnadzor were detained after a mine collapse. The deputy head and senior inspector of the department for supervision of hazardous production facilities were detained.
They are suspected of negligence, according to the Investigative Committee of Russia. The rescue operation had been terminated at the Pioneer mine, where 13 miners were trapped as a result of a collapse. They were declared dead, and the families of the miners were promised a year's wages. The investigation is still ongoing.
