China: At least twelve miners dead in two accidents in one day. Four other workers were still missing, state news agency Xinhua reported.

Serious accidents in mines occur again and again in China. Now there were two incidents in oneday with several deaths. Four miners are still missing in the eastern Chinese province of Anhui. A gas explosion there killed seven people, Xinhua reports. The explosion occurred in a coal mine when 24 miners were working in the shaft. The second accident occurred late Monday evening in northern China's Shanxi province. Five miners were killed when a warehouse in acoal shaft collapsed.
