Moderna's vaccine against Covid-19 does not present "any specific safety problem", according to the American Medicines Agency (FDA), which is due to meet Thursday to decide on its urgent authorization.

The vaccine developed by the American biotechnology firm should therefore be the second vaccine to receive a green light in the United States after that of Pfizer / BioNTech which began to be administered Monday in American hospitals.

The FDA analysis also confirmed the vaccine's efficacy at 94.1%.
