Strong winds will hit several departments of Occitanie by Saturday evening.

The gusts which have been blowing since this Friday in several departments in the southwest will intensify over the next few hours.

Météo France has placed Occitanie, as well as the departments of Pyrénées-Atlantiques and Lot-et-Garonne in yellow vigilance for strong winds, coupled with an alert to rain, floods and thunderstorms for those around the Mediterranean.

Saturday, a disturbance will arrive from the southwest.

On the Pyrenean ridges, peaks of wind will be recorded between 120 to 140 km / h, in the plain of Toulouse, they will be 80 to 100 km / h and 100 to 120 km / h towards the Montagne Noire and Lauragais.

From the middle of the day and until Sunday evening, significant accumulations of rain are announced over the Cévennes and the Mediterranean rim of Languedoc-Roussillon.

Locally there could be up to 150 mm of rain according to Météo-France.
