Var department will be placed on orange wave-submersion alert Thursday morning, from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m., due to a strong southwest wind over the Mediterranean basin.
Particularly concerned are “the vulnerable areas of the west of the Var”, towards Toulon. A rainy front will sweep across Brittany then the Atlantic coast in the morning, will stretch from Normandy to the South-West at midday, before fading away in the afternoon, shifting from Hauts-de-France to in Occitania.
