Soon the end of an era for

Fort Boyard

 ?

As reported by

Le Parisien

, the iconic tigers in the game will no longer be replaced, when they retire.

“Kali, aged 15, has retired, and we have decided not to replace him,” said producer Alexia Laroche-Joubert.

But it's not time for rest tomorrow for nine and three-year-old Kashemir and Tosca.

"They have different ages, so the departure of each of them will be spread out over time, and will correspond to the time when they respectively retire," she explains.

Kashemir and Tosca will therefore have to take their troubles patiently, the retirement age of a tiger can reach 20 years ...

"The tigers will be in good conditions"

It must be said that the presence of these felines is increasingly pointed out.

This summer, Hugo Clément, journalist militant for the animal cause, had participated in

Fort Boyard

, but refusing to participate in the games with animals.

"You know my convictions on this subject: I am fiercely opposed to the captivity of wild animals for the purpose of entertainment," he explained on Instagram.

Invited this Tuesday morning on Europe 1, this time he declared that he would no longer participate as long as the tigers were used in the show.

With the

Parisian

, Alexia Laroche-Joubert assured that the conditions of captivity of these tigers were very supervised: “We are very concerned and attentive to the well-being of our tigers, continues the producer.

We work with our service provider within a legal framework which takes into account the evolution of animal conditions and which has all the authorizations to breed, train, and present tigers on the fort.

"" Beyond that, we work in close collaboration with the veterinary services of the region who, each year, come to check our infrastructures to ensure that the tigers will be in good condition during the time they are on the fort. (hygiene, place, food, water) ”, she added.

Not sure that this is enough to reassure the defenders of our animal friends.
