Zoo in Belgium: Lion bites lioness to death. Lion Nestor was actually supposed to mate with two lionesses in a Belgian zoo.
However, at the first meeting the situation escalated - the lioness could not be saved. Even after the incident, Nestor should be allowed to stay in his zoo for the time being. The 12-year-old was moved from the zoo in Antwerp to the West Flemish city of Ypres as part of a program for endangered species.
