German Federal Police said on Tuesday that a 74-year-old Armenian woman was arrested at Munich Airport after human bones were found in her luggage.

Officials found the remains in a wooden box, and then summoned customs officers, a doctor, and the prosecutor to examine the strange case.
With her 52-year-old daughter, the woman wanted to transport the bones from her home in Greece to Armenia via Munich and Kiev, as the deceased was to be buried in his former homeland.

The documents showed that the man died in 2008 and was buried in his residence near Thessaloniki.

The Federal Police found that the transfer of the remains was legal, and the Prosecutor also did not see any grounds for criminal investigation. The two women were allowed to continue their journey with the bones.
