In June, just like the Chinese college graduates, affected by the new coronary pneumonia epidemic, after going through the "cloud class" and "cloud defense", the students in China also ushered in the "cloud graduation season." They have regrets that they cannot "take a picture with their alma mater in a bachelor's uniform", and they also have confidence in the future "after the waves rush into the sea".

"They are just fine today!" Liu Ming, a 25-year-old Afghan youth, expressed emotion when he attended the graduation ceremony.

Liu Ming is a fourth-year undergraduate majoring in Chinese international education at Taiyuan University of Technology. He is also one of the foreign graduates who stayed in the school to attend the graduation ceremony during the New Coronary Pneumonia epidemic.

In order to prevent and control the epidemic and reduce the risk, his four foreign students could not return to the school and attended the graduation ceremony with him on the spot. "It's a pity that they are not here, I hope they can watch the graduation ceremony through live broadcast." Liu Ming said.

Speaking of graduation feelings, Wang Li said frankly, "Although it is always sad to part with my alma mater, but my parents' loving companionship around me and my alma mater's careful guidance from afar have made me more mature and confident, and have the courage to pursue a better future with my life. ." Five years ago, Liu Ming came to China for the first time. "At that time, due to different cultures and language barriers, they knew nothing about China and were not used to eating Chinese food." Liu Ming said. Nowadays, he is used to studying abroad, no matter whether it is communication or diet. "I feel like I am about to become a'Chinese'!" Liu Ming said in fluent Chinese.

After five years of studying abroad, at first the introverted shy boy transformed into a cheerful and lively youth. "Go out more, communicate with more people, and make friends" is Liu Ming's "secret" of change, and it is also his way of understanding Chinese culture.

Liu Ming wrote in his circle of friends that time passed by. Looking back over the past 5 years, I have gained a lot. Not only have I gained knowledge growth, learning progress, but also learned to communicate and cooperate with others in learning activities time after time. Know yourself correctly and continuously improve yourself.

"For international students, studying in China is a great opportunity. Be sure to cherish your time at school." Liu Ming, as a senior, sent a message to foreign students. After graduating, he plans to continue studying at our school. "Now is the age of young people. After studying in the future, I hope to contribute to the building of my country." Liu Ming said.

"Due to the impact of the epidemic, I was unable to attend the graduation ceremony held by my alma mater, but the first time I participated in the "Yunshang" graduation ceremony also left me with an unforgettable memory." Wang Li, also from Afghanistan, is Liu Mingwei One of the students who can attend the graduation ceremony on the spot. From February to June this year, from "Cloud Classroom" to "Cloud Defense" to "Cloud Graduation", for Wang Li, all "cloud experiences" have a special meaning.

Speaking of graduation feelings, Wang Li said frankly, "Although it is always sad to part with my alma mater, but my parents' loving companionship around me and my alma mater's careful guidance from afar have made me more mature and confident, and have the courage to pursue a better future with my life. ."

Tina from Nigeria is a third-year graduate student in international politics at Shanxi University. Affected by the epidemic, the school's graduation ceremony this year cannot be carried out as it was in previous years.

"It's sad not to celebrate graduation with more than 30 other Chinese students at school." Tian Na said regretfully. Looking back at the past three years, the scene of the first arrival at the school is still vivid. "I remember when I first came to Shanda University in 2017, my Chinese classmate held a birthday party for me and bought a big cake, which made me particularly moved and memorable." Tian Na said.

Graduation is the end and the beginning. For the future, Tina has her own plan. "I want to continue to study in China!" Tina said firmly. She has always had a wish in her mind that she wants to help more women and children in need through the knowledge she has learned in China. These two days, Tina is busy preparing for the doctoral exam. She hopes, "Everything is getting better and life is back to normal".

According to statistics, Taiyuan University of Technology has 588 international students, including 161 international graduates in 2020; Shanxi University has 283 international students. So far, a total of 10 international students have successfully graduated. (Finish)
