Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit paid an official visit to China from March 23 to 29. Over the past 20 years, relations between China and Dominica have developed steadily.
Under the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative, the two sides have achieved fruitful results in agriculture, medical and health, education, infrastructure, disaster prevention and reduction and other fields. People-to-people and cultural exchanges have become increasingly close. In 2018, China and the Dominican Republic signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation on the “Belt and Road” initiative.
