Emmanuel Macron will visit Tuesday a site of the pharmaceutical group Sanofi near Lyon to "support research and production of vaccines" as part of the fight against the coronavirus, said Friday the Elysee.

This trip to the Marcy-l'Etoile site (Rhône) will be followed by a videoconference with representatives of private laboratories in the afternoon at the Elysée, said the presidency.

Emmanuel Macron was "moved" in mid-May of the announcement that Sanofi would serve the United States as a priority if he found a vaccine against Covid-19 and had immediately followed the leaders of the group.
