Several anti-drug “free space” operations launched in France. Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin announced that "several" new "XXL square footage" operations against drug trafficking were going to be launched.

In total, "three" new large-scale operations of this type will be launched, including one in Dijon. These operations come after that launched last Tuesday in Marseille by President Emmanuel Macron who visited the site. According to the prefecture, 900 police officers, gendarmes and customs officers were mobilized on the first day of the operation.
