Kanagawa Fujisawa City 13 employees Dependent allowance inappropriate payment of 17 million yen October 31 21:15

It turned out that 13 employees of Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture, were not properly reporting the income of their spouses they were dependent on, and received about 17 million yen inappropriately, including the “support allowance” that was originally not paid.

According to Fujisawa City, 13 staff members will receive “support allowances” that should not be paid until December of last year, and the total amount will be approximately 17 million yen.

If Fujisawa has a dependent family member and the annual income of the family is less than 1.3 million yen, the subsidy is paid. Not properly reported and improper receipt has been the longest staff for 15 years.

A new salary-related system found that last year we found inappropriate payments and explained that none of the city surveys were intentional.

Of the improper payment, 11 million yen has been returned so far.

“We want to consider how to check the status of the family in order to pay allowances in the future,” says Fujisawa's chief examiner, Fujisawa City Staff Division.
