Chinanews.com, January 16th. Recently, a video of "an ideal car owner driving at night shows that someone is chasing the car" has attracted attention.

On the 16th, Ideal Auto’s official Weibo responded,

saying that the above phenomenon is a bug in the visual perception algorithm of Ideal L8 Pro (AD Pro platform version 4.2)

.

The response stated that when there are water droplets at the position of the rear windshield camera, if it is illuminated by the lights of the vehicle behind or street lights, a halo will form on the image screen.

The current AD Pro mass-produced version algorithm has a certain probability of misidentifying the halo as a human feature, which causes a bug in the perception of the environment display.

Ideal Auto explained that this problem only affects the display of the perceived environment and does not affect the functional control.

In addition, the ideal L9 Max and ideal L8 Max of the AD Max platform do not have this BUG.
