The Municipal Police discover two million euros in wads of banknotes in a VTC in the center of Madrid. This is the largest seizure of money discovered in Madrid by the Municipal Police.
The driver of the vehicle, a Colombian citizen registered in Barcelona, has not been able to justify his origin, and has alleged that he had been commissioned to carry those bags, charging 1,500 euros for the service. The police spent more than two hours counting the 50 and 100 euro bills. The money will be seized and transferred to a judicial deposit.
