LIXIL Corporation, a major housing equipment company, has decided to raise the prices of toilets and kitchens in order from September, because the prices of raw materials such as aluminum and copper are soaring.

According to the announcement, the price will be increased for some of the housing equipment such as toilets, kitchens, bathrooms and entrance doors.

The company plans to revise the suggested retail price sequentially from the orders received in September, and the range of price increases will be up to 27%.

Of these, we will raise the price of ▽ toilets by about 2% to 14%, ▽ kitchens by about 5% to 10%, and ▽ tiles used for floors by about 10% to 20%.

The company raised prices for some products such as toilets and kitchens this April, but this time most of them are different products.

Regarding the reasons, the company cites the soaring prices of raw materials such as aluminum, copper, and plastic resin against the backdrop of the situation in Ukraine, the impact of the depreciation of the yen, and the fact that logistics costs associated with marine transportation remain high.

Among housing equipment manufacturers, "TOTO" has decided to raise the price of some products such as toilets and kitchens from the order received in October, and there is a growing movement to add soaring raw material prices to the selling price.
