The agency claims that payment for some April and May gas deliveries was rejected "despite the fact that the company tried to pay for fuel using a ruble account," RIA Novosti reports.
The sources also said the company is continuing to attempt to make the payment and is in talks.
On April 1, the Gazprom Group announced the termination of its participation in the German company Gazpom Germania GmbH and in all its assets.
The Ministry of Economy of Germany ordered the Federal Network Agency to take Gazprom Germania under trusteeship by September 30.
