The China Game Industry Report for January-June 2021 released at the conference revealed that in the first half of 2021, the actual sales revenue of the domestic game market was 150.493 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.89%.

In the first half of 2021, the number of game users in China reached 667 million, an increase of 1.38% year-on-year, and the growth rate continued to slow down.

It is foreseeable that with changes in the demographic structure, competition in the game market will become more intense in the future, and the requirements for enterprises and products will also increase.

In the first half of 2021, the actual sales revenue of China's self-developed games in the domestic market was 130.112 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.3%, accounting for more than 80% of the actual sales revenue of the Chinese game market.

At the same time, in the first half of 2021, the actual overseas sales revenue of China's self-developed games was US$8.468 billion, a year-on-year increase of 11.58%.

The overseas income of self-developed game products continues to grow, and the "going global" of domestic games is the general trend.

From the perspective of national and regional distribution, the United States, Japan, and South Korea are still the main markets, with combined revenue accounting for 59.51% of the total revenue in overseas markets.

In the domestic market in the first half of the year, actual sales of mobile games accounted for 76.26% of the total market revenue, 19.86% for client games, and 2.01% for web games.

Mobile games are the main source of revenue in the domestic game market.

The number of mobile game users was 656 million, a year-on-year increase of 1.34%.

Although the year-on-year growth rate has slowed down, mobile games still dominate the domestic game market due to its wide audience and ease of operation.

In the past six months, the types of mobile games have become more abundant, providing users with more diverse choices.

According to statistical analysis, the top 100 game types are more diverse, of which role-playing accounts for 28%; card games account for 15%; strategy games account for 10%.

At the same time, data shows that original IP accounted for 44.08%, and the original IP research and development capabilities of Chinese game companies have improved.

Industry insiders pointed out that even when the actual sales revenue of the national game market increased by more than 22.34% in the first half of last year, it still maintained a significant growth in the first half of this year, indicating that China's game industry is moving on a virtuous track of high-quality development, showing more and more healthy and prosperous. Development trend.
