"Carrefour" reveals its expectations for the best-selling products during "Carrefour Friday" promotions

The "Carrefour" chain of stores run by Majid Al Futtaim in the United Arab Emirates has revealed its expectations regarding the best-selling products during the "Carrefour Friday" offers, the unmissable saving month, which was launched online and in all Carrefour branches in the country.

With Carrefour focused on providing experiences that enable high value creation, Carrefour Friday 2020 provides a full month of savings opportunities.

A statement issued today indicated that in light of the increase in the percentage of sales on the Internet by about 300% after the spread of the "Covid-19" pandemic, it is expected that the best-selling retail products in the UAE will include a wide range of products and commodities from household supplies to beauty products or Personal care and clothing.

More specifically, Carrefour expects a large number of customers to take advantage of great value offers in the following areas:

Kitchen products:

Based on 2019 sales data, cooking items typically make up 2 to 3% of total sales.

With this category occupying a position in the top 10 sales, it is expected that cooking and baking tools will witness great popularity, as customers seek to pursue new culinary hobbies and choose to stay and eat in their homes, instead of visiting restaurants.

Work From Home (WFH):

With microcomputer sales increasing from 10 to 16% this year, along with an increase in sales of phone "accessories", it is evident that customers are looking to enjoy screen entertainment options and technical competence as work from home and remote learning are widespread.

Carrefour expects these sales to only increase during the "Carrefour Friday" sales, as demand for tablets and other electronic devices increases, as professionals seek flexible options to achieve lasting connectivity.

Fitness Equipment:

The focus and interest in fitness is growing exponentially, as the brand expects many customers to purchase fitness equipment, which includes bicycles, to help them keep fit indoors or outdoors, according to their own standards.

The latest Carrefour data showed a sudden increase in online inquiries by 5% regarding treadmills and yoga mats, as customers looked to exercise and pay more time and attention to sports.

And "Carrefour", in addition to these expectations for the best-selling products, estimates the continued great demand witnessed last year, for pioneering products such as laptops, toys, toys, beauty products and personal care.

In contrast, demand is likely to decline this year for some products, due to ongoing social distancing measures, including party dresses, clothing and travel-related goods such as suitcases or cell phone chargers.

Based on this, it is expected that the sales of "Carrefour Friday 2020" will be greater than usual, which is done mainly through e-commerce channels, as Carrefour continues to provide experiences based on the latest technologies to its customers.

The "Carrefour Friday" runs until the 5th of December and offers customers exceptional offers.

These offers include the "buy one, get the other free" offer, discounts of up to 70% on several products and special offers for three days.
